References and limits
Google structured data documentation is the implementation boundary. The tool does not promise rankings, rich results, or AI citations.
Use this schema markup generator to create a JSON-LD object, or paste JSON-LD to check supported fields. The form supports Organization, Article, NewsArticle, BreadcrumbList and Person. It is a focused browser-side generator and validator, not a scanner of every schema type or every page on a website.
How to generate JSON-LD schema
- Select the type that describes the visible content or entity.
- Enter real names, URLs, dates and other fields. Do not add invented authors, ratings or organization details.
- Review the generated JSON-LD and fix the reported field errors.
- Copy the output into the appropriate structured-data integration for your site, checking for markup already emitted by your theme or SEO plugin.
- Inspect the final page and use the relevant external testing tool before relying on search-feature eligibility.
What the JSON-LD validator checks
| Check | Scope |
|---|---|
| JSON syntax | Whether the pasted input can be parsed. |
| Root and type | A single object using the supported context and one of the five supported types. |
| Field checks | Selected name, URL, date, author and breadcrumb requirements in this tool’s implementation. |
| Article checklist | A separate, limited check for Article and NewsArticle fields; not a complete Google eligibility decision. |
A document containing an array or a multi-entity @graph is outside this tool’s current single-object scope. Product, FAQPage, LocalBusiness and other types are not supported here. An unsupported-type message is not proof that the markup is invalid everywhere.
Schema validation and rich results are different
Schema.org defines a vocabulary; Google supports particular search appearances with additional rules. A successful local check does not show that Google has crawled the page, accepted the markup or displayed a rich result. Check the visible content, the relevant feature documentation and the final rendered page.
Use the Schema Markup Validator for broader vocabulary validation and Google’s Rich Results Test for supported Google features. These are external services with their own data handling. Do not submit private data merely to test an example.
Privacy and next steps
This tool parses your input in the browser; it does not fetch a remote page, send pasted JSON-LD to a server or save it. Keep your own copy if you need it later. For the relationship between structured content and search visibility, see our GEO and SEO explanation: schema is not an AI citation guarantee.
